I Don’t Smell Anything
Yes, I’m totally playing off of Adrienne’s post title. She won’t mind though;-)
I had a ton of errands to run today, the most lengthy and important being a grooming appointment for one doggie fantastico. Because of this, I decided to throw a roast in the crock pot early this morning so it would be ready for dinner.
Around noon I noticed something odd. I didn’t smell anything. Usually by that time, the roast is filling the house with a beautiful aroma. Not so today. Wanna know why?
It kinda helps to plug in the crock pot.
Yeah.
I can’t believe I did that.
Fortunately, the roast still came out tasty;-)
So, on to other things. Deacon had his first visit with our new groomer today. This lady is wonderful! I took him to a small home-based groomer that’s practically down the street from us. She did a wonderful job with him and her prices are far better than most I’ve seen. Deacon was very good for her and I was allowed to stay and watch the process. I wish I would have brought my camera, cause he sure looks funny all wet! I do however have a few photos we took tonight. Behold, the even more adorable cuteness!

Oh my,he sure does look cuter than ever. Great job she did!
By the way,I did that with the crockpot once. Now when I put something in it,I have a habit of coming back to check to see if I turned it on:)
Oh, I have the cutest doggie nephew! I agree, he looks cuter than ever!
Too bad the little ‘uns don’t stay looking so fresh & cute for long! Great grooming though.
Glad you caught the crockpot before it was too late to get that roast cooked! We had a turkey misap one Thanksgiving morning. Adam was leaving long before the sun to go hunt for a wee bit – his job was to put the turkey in the oven and turn the oven on. When I got up, it’d be cooking. Nope. He forgot the turn the oven on part. It all worked okay too, luckily!
He seems to be getting used to the photo-taking. What great shots. He’s certainly very adorable.
Is it just me or does he look like he’s smiling for the camera in every shot?
Oh, he absolutely is smiling for the camera! He’s so happy;-)
