CROP Walk
On Sunday, October 7th, Kevin & I will be participating in the CROP Hunger Walk. This is a first for me, and I’m really excited about it. We will be walking, I believe close to 4 miles.
What is the CROP Hunger Walk?
Neighbors from different faiths, cultures, and ages, walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world. Together we raise awareness and funds for internationsl relief and development, as well as local hunger-fighting agencies. Some 2,000 communities across the country take part each year.
If anyone is interested in sponsoring me, please let me know. Donations can be in any amount. I have to have all donations in before the walk on the 7th. Thanks!
Where does the money go?
CROP Hunger Walks help fight hunger and poverty around the world, including the United States. 25% of what is raised at the Columbiana Walk stays in Columbiana County and benefits local shelters & food banks. The remaining funds are used by Church World Service to provide global hunger education, disaster relief and self-help projects throughout the world.
