Sunday Salon Part 2
I’ve just finished up And Only to Deceive. I really liked it a lot. I didn’t get the shocking surprises I was looking for, but that’s just me. I will say, the mysteries were not nearly as obvious as most. There were a lot of twists and turns to this one and a lot of intrigue throughout.
I did begin to tire of the discussion of Greek literature weaved throughout, but that’s simply because it doesn’t interest me in the least. I don’t think it was enough to ruin my full enjoyment of the book though.
I liked the protagonist most of the time. Though I didn’t always agree with her judgment, I adored her for her feisty independent streak and her pursuit of intelligence.
Anyway, there you have it. A much enjoyed read! I look forward to picking up A Poisoned Season.

I enjoyed this one too, though it’s been a while since I read it, so I don’t remember it in detail.
I was just saying on Twitter, “this sounds like you, Debra”. Shoulda read the comments first
