Hot Beat

I’m beat.

I spent the majority of today cleaning and scrubbing my dad’s soon-to-be new abode. After all that, we ended up meeting up with my darling brother and bringing a ginormous load of furniture over as well. We got all that set up and it is starting to look lived-in and quite cozy already.

I am really excited about the new place.

But, leaving behind the old house will be even harder than I first thought.

I was overcome with emotion this evening when we stopped there to load up the truck. I saw something of my mom’s and it just hit me extra hard for some reason. It took me a few minutes to shake it off and get back into the groove of working.

In any event, we got a lot accomplished today, but have much more to do tomorrow. Stay tuned…I may have some pics to share later!

PS. The central air in my dad’s new place is AWESOME! It was not “hot” in there today.
