Night Life in a Small Town

You’d think in a town the size of ours, where we don’t even have a traffic light, that the streets would roll up for the night at 9:00pm sharp.

Not so.

We have a crazy habit of walking our dear puppy before bed. That part’s not crazy. The fact that we all bundle up in any kind of weather and walk ALL the way down the street and back, every night is the crazy part.

Sometimes it’s 2:00-3:00 am before we take our bedtime walk.

A lot of those nights we pass some random guy wearing clothes. Other nights, like tonight, we have a midnight conversation with a neighbor. But, the very best was last week….

We came out of the house at around 1:30-2:00am, and walked down the driveway. Before we could get any farther, 2 guys came jogging down the street.

Yes, I said jogging and I mean jogging.

You think NYC is the city that never sleeps? Think again.

“A lot of those nights we pass some random guy wearing clothes.” Does the fact that you thought you had to mention that he was wearing clothes mean that you often pass a random man NOT wearing clothes??
