End Of The Event Meme!

For those of you wondering, I failed to make it the entire 24 hours. I opted to go to bed around 2:00am so that I would be somewhat coherent for church in the morning. I could have made it, I know I could have. Maybe next time!

1. Which hour was most daunting for you? Probably the one when I was reading with the highlighting stuff on my head. I was already exhausted, but it was worse cause I couldn’t wear my glasses with my head covered in goo, so I couldn’t see as well.
2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year? Anything by Sarah Dessen. It took me all day to read, but it kept me captivated the whole time.
3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? Not really. I think everyone did a great job!
4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon? I loved the Twitter updates, that was a cool addition.
5. How many books did you read? Sadly, only 1 and a third. I planned for 4, so yeah, next time!
6. What were the names of the books you read? The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen and the first 100 or so pages of Masquerade by Melissa De La Cruz.
7. Which book did you enjoy most? I really, really enjoyed The Truth About Forever. It was an engaging story with the added bonus that I could really relate to several of the main characters.
8. Which did you enjoy least? I enjoyed everything I read this year, for once!
9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders? N/A
10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time? Extremely likely! I LOVE the Read-a-thon.

In closing, I’d like to thank Nymeth, Hannah & Trish for taking over the Read-a-thon and for doing such a great job. I’m sure Dewey would be proud. We love you Dewey!

come on! you so didn’t fail–you did really well. i didn’t even try to do it–the weather was too nice and i would feel so guilty reading so much when the laundry is threatening to take over the house and i have to mulch my flower beds…

good job on the reading…maybe i’ll try the R-A-T in the winter time…

I went to bed around 1am so I wouldn’t feel too bad about going to bed at 2. Great job, I think the organizers did a wonderful job as well.
